In the Curious Kitchen was started by MK Hennigan in January 2020 as a way to share with others what she learned so many years ago.
Some of my earliest memories are me standing on a chair at the counter in my grandmother’s North Carolina kitchen. She didn’t just teach me to cook, she taught me that cooking is the catalyst to all good things in our homes, gathering, laughing, loving….
Today, I recreate her very special Pimento Cheese recipe and celebrate the rich and spirited bourbon industry with Cocktail Kits, Boozy Cherries and an assortment of bitters.
I’ve found that my memories of her storied hands and her spoken measurements are the best guide a curious cook could ever ask for.
